No,
it's good. It means things are going well. It maybe bothers me when I'm
eating but I'll miss the day when nobody comes up to me and asks me for
an autograph.

It can. The sad
part about this business is you're only as good as your last hit. My
phone rings more when a single or album is doing well. But I'm not
talking about my true friends. There are five guys who I gre up with who

Yes, but I'm not very expressive when it comes to my personal life. I'm quite secretive.

Songwriting
has always been my therapy. If it wasn't for that, at some point in my
life it would have helped me to see a psychologist.

About three months ago when my dog Grammy died. My record company gave him to me in 1997 when I won my first grammy.

I
wrote it with Nicole in mind. It's foreplayish, about seeing a person
in a restaurant who you don't know but there's an attraction.

In the video we can sense a genuine attraction between you...

Yes, it was. She has a boyfriend right?

No,
come on, it's a video! Someone was bashing me because of the lyrics in I
Like It as it talks about infidelity. I'm like, it's just a song, give
me a break. Some songs come from a real place, others are just fantasies
and it's the same with videos.

You've been with Anna for eight years. How would you rate yourself as a boyfriend?
Not
anything. I'm actually difficult and moody at times. I'm not the
easiest person in the world and I need moments when I'm completely by
myself for my work.

So when you're in boyfriend mode, are you romantic?
Not
really, And I know that doesn't go with what I write, but it's like
asking a comedian if they're always joking around when they're at home.
Usually it's the opposite. My way is just going to the movies and
respecting that person by having fun with her.

You're 35, are you planning to get married?
Oh no.

Why not?
I
don't think it's the right thing to do. A lot of people think I'm
against marriage but you can be happy with someone without being
married.

Do you worry that marriage puts a good relationship at risk?
No, but I don't think it can improve it. What can make it better is if you get along with that person, that's it.

Are you a jealous person?
No, Jealousy can be good to a certain degree but it can also be really dangerous.

There needs to be trust, especially if you're travelling the world and staying in hotels...
What happens in a hotel room? Nothing. Then again, I've supposedly been with girls who I've never met.

Let's clear up another rumour. Did you go water-skiing naked after Spain won the world cup?
Yes, in Miami. But it's not a big deal because my friends and I used to water ski naked all the time when we were 16 or 17.

Quite the exhibitionist!. Do you walk around your house naked?
No, because my housekeeper would probably feel awkward. I'm not comfortable being naked anyway, I've got chicken legs!
